The program places a strong emphasis on primary research, and you will take a course in fieldwork methods, equipping you with the skills necessary to obtain qualitative and quantitative data for your dissertation. You will be encouraged to make use of the wide network of academic contacts and scholars who will provide help and support during fieldwork activities. You will also have the opportunity to learn a language from one of the AAME regions.

By the end of this course you will leave with a solid understanding of the development challenges in the AAME regions, with particular understanding of the politics of at least one of them.
