Genome sequencing is revolutionizing the field of medicine. The ability to sequence and analyze the genome of individuals in a fast and inexpensive manner, provides an unprecedented level of genetic information associated to health and disease. The data processing of such levels of information is challenging, and requires specialized skills in genomics, health and data analysis.
The University of Essex MSc Data Analytics in Health Genomics will train students to analyze genomic data in connection with health and disease. Students will explore how genome sequences are analyzed, and they will receive hands-on experience in data analysis. Students will also study gene and genome technologies, as well as have the opportunity to develop their professional skills.
