Master of Science by Research – International Human Resource Management

This research area covers the theoretical underpinnings and the practical implications of international approaches, models and regulations of managing people in a global context. Topics include the analysis of the relationship between national culture, organisational behaviour and management practice; the comparative analysis of the main policies and practices by which international organisations, mainly multinational companies (MNCs), manage their human resources in different countries; and the evaluation of contemporary issues and the future directions of international HRM, their implications and ways of dealing with them in an international labour market. It also includes topics that are related to international recruitment and selection; international training and development; international rewards and remuneration; and international employee relations.
