Master of Arts – Interior Architecture and Design

This course takes a unique approach to interior and architectural practice, enabling you to create innovative design solutions for interior spaces. Students will work on a wide range of projects from art installations, built structures and commercial projects, to industry research and smaller-scale design schemes. Specialising in an area of personal interest within the course framework, students will combine practical skills with spatial awareness, practical applications and function to solve architectural problems. Taking a multi-disciplinary approach to interior architecture and design, students will consider the influence of art, culture, the humanities, society, economics and history of design.

 

This course is aimed at professionals working in a related industry, or graduates with a related honours degree. Students will develop the skills and gain the experience to pursue a career in art, design and architectural practices. Recent graduate roles have included interior designers, retail designers and roles in design firms and consultancies, both in the UK and overseas.
